The organisers of the Tour of Flanders cyclosportive have announced that all 16,000 places in the event have now been sold.

The event takes place on April 2nd, one day ahead of the Men’s and Women’s professional races. The cyclosportive also sold out last year, but three weeks later than this year.

Riders from sixty countries are set to take part with the bulk of the entrants being from Belgium (6985), followed by the Netherlands (3000), Great Britain (2300), Italy (830) and France (750).

Amongst the other countries where entrants are from include Singapore, Puerto Rico, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Hong Kong and India.

The longest route will cover 227 kilometres and 5,350 have signed up for this distance with 8,840 lining up in the middle distance route of 129 kilometres.
