On a visit to Copenhagen with British Cycling, the UK’s transport minister Robert Goodwill was shown three specific interventions, all of which benefit cyclists and motorists, by improving the city’s traffic flow and safety.

These three lessons relate to legislation, the development of cycle superhighways and standardised design for infrastructure.

British Cycling believes that these measures are adaptable to the UK and are essential to making a true cycling nation. The measures could help to make travelling around the city safer, easier, less stressful, and healthier for all.
