The Col d’Aubisque at an elevation of 1,709 m first appeared in the Tour de France in 1910. There have been a total of 45 passages over the summit, making it the second most visited mountain in the race’s history.

There have been two stage finishes on the summit, in 1985 when Stephen Roche won, and 2007 when Michael Rasmussen was first over the line.

This is another great video from the Col Collective, which features the Col d’Aubisque.
