In an effort to lengthen the CX season to what it’s supposed to be, Sept-Feb, DCCX are running another CX race on Saturday 24th of January, again in Punchestown Racecourse.

The organisers talked to people over the last few races, and found that there are more now concentrating on CX and making it their main focus of the season. They also found that there was interest in a longer, fuller calendar, in particular with some racing after the Nationals in January. Race organiser Sean O’Tuathail said” *I myself always thought it was a shame to be, ideally, in your top form only to hang up the bike and eat the cake!”

“The feedback from the last race was good so the race will be in the same area of the racecourse but on a new and slightly longer course, with more poles and more tape! There will be an A and a B race with Juniors, Women and Vets as well as a team prize on the day.” he added.

Pre-registration is on the FB page and there is sign-on as well as 1-day licenses on the day.

B race: 1130

A race: 1300

As an added bonus, there is an end of season night out later in the city, Dublin that is, in SOLAS on Wexford St. from 8 o clock to sample their Belgian bottles.
