Top French team Vendée U put in an incredible performance at the weekend as they filled all top 10 places at the Circuit des Plages Vendéennes in Notre-Dame-de-Mont.
The ten riders were part of a 23-rider breakaway which went clear at the 45-kilometre mark. At the same point on the following lap, the team put the pressure on, reducing the lead group to ten riders – all from Vendée U.
They team time-trialled their way to the finish where they crossed the line together. Victory went to Thomas Denis ahead of Axel Journiaux and Morgan Lamoisson.
The first non Vendée U rider home was Polychronis Tzortzakis of Ville St. Germain who finished 3’11” behind.
