A cyclist in the US was assaulted after an exchange of words with a motorist who had parked in a bike lane in Chicago.

The 19 year-old cyclist named Colton said: “You’re in the bike lane bro” to the motorist as he passed the car which led to the driver of the white SUV chasing after the cyclist.

A block later, the driver pulls up in front of the cyclist and emerges from the car. According to the report, the motorist assaulted him, punching him and kicking him in the face.

The driver fled after the assault leaving Colton with a bloodied eye and marks on his face.

Detectives are now trying to track down the driver of the vehicle. They have been able to identify the owner of the car, but are still looking for help in identifying the driver.

    • I doubt he even heard what the cyclist said; only that he said “something” to him!!! People yell at me a great deal louder than that while I’m riding and I can NEVER tell what they’re saying!!! Lol
