Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has hinted that he is set to leave the BBC, which follows on from his suspension for allegedly punching Oisin Tymon, an Irish producer of the programme. It has been claimed that Clarkson called Tymon ‘a lazy, Irish c**t’,

If he does leave Top Gear, a lot of cyclists won’t be too disappointed with the news. Over the years, Clarkson has written and spoke about his dislike of cyclists.

One description he gave of cyclists was “Trespassers in the motorcars domain, they do not pay road tax and therefore have no right to be on the road, some of them even believe they are going fast enough to not be an obstruction. Run them down to prove them wrong.”

Clarkson also spoke of a particular run-in he had with a cyclist, where he said he explained to the cyclist, “listen if you just work hard you can have a car.”

On another occasion, he posted the following photo to Twitter, seemingly upset that a cyclist might dare to get in his way.

Although, thousands have signed petitions in support of Clarkson, many others will be glad to see the back of him.
