Bradley Wiggins will today attempt to break the UCI Hour World Record of countryman Alex Dowsett. Dowsett set the record at 52.937km last month in Manchester.
Wiggins will make his attempt in the Olympic Velodrome in London. Many fans and commentators have outlined that they expect the Londoner to break the record, and distances of up to 55 kilometres have been suggested as what could be achieved.
