Wanty-Gobert have unveiled the new jersey and shorts that the team will wear in 2019. The jersey which was modelled by rider Xandro Meurisse is still manufactured by Chinese clothing supplier Santic and has more white on the front than previously.

On the side of the jersey is the logo of Ruffus, a range of sparkling wines produced in the Vignoble des Agaises. Their new collaboration with Wallonie Belgique Tourisme is displayed on the shorts with the tourist agency aiming to bring more visitors to cycle to various tourist sites in the Walloon Region.

Xandro Meurisse: “I think our outfit for 2019 looks great. The new white design is chique. The shorts look almost the same as last year, but I think the adjustments to the jersey are really nice. The whole of helmet, glasses, sweater, trousers and shoes fits well together.

“Hopefully there won’t be too much mud in the cx rides that I am going to ride, because then the white uniform will get dirty a little faster.”

Fred Hou (CEO Santic): “We have established a great partnership with the Wanty-Gobert cycling team. I am confident that our partnership will continue to grow in the future. We listened to the feedback from the riders to make the most appropriate outfits to achieve great performances.

“I am sure that the Wanty-Gobert riders will once again perform at the highest level with their Santic equipment, starting with the Tour de France. ”
