British Continental Cyclo-cross team TRINITY Racing will begin it’s new season this weekend focusing on round one of the Telenet Superprestige race in Gieten. The newly titled TRINITY Racing team, known in it’s debut season as TP Racing, will again be led by current World and European U23 Cyclo-cross champion, Tom Pidcock.
After a hugely successful season in 2018/19, Tom’s focus will shift to competing at the Elite level over the coming season. He will be joined by fellow British riders, Cameron Mason and Abby-Mae Parkinson. The team is owned by London based sports management, marketing and events company, Trinity Sports Management, who work extensively in cycling and who manage Tom’s career on and off the bike.
Pidcock is excited about stepping up and competing at the Elite level this season: “Winning the U23s last year was a huge goal of mine and the team, so to deliver that in our debut season was huge. There is a great environment amongst all the staff and we are supported by top class equipment partners. I really enjoy the input and flexibility that I get with this team and I cannot wait to begin racing in the new TRINITY Racing colours.”
Cameron Mason (19), an exciting mountain bike and Cyclo-cross rider from Scotland will represent TRINITY Racing in the U23 races. Whilst Abby-Mae Parkinson (22), who finished 4th in this year’s British National road race, will return to Cyclo-cross with TRINITY Racing after focusing on the road in recent seasons.
The launch of the TRINITY Racing team was held in the Red Bull Studios in London last night, Trinity Sports Management Director Andrew McQuaid commented: “The team will once again be centred around development of it’s riders, nurturing the right environment for them to enjoy their racing as they progress through the sport.
“We saw the success of this environment last year in Tom’s very impressive results and hope to continue on that track. We are also delighted to welcome two other young British riders in Cameron and Abby-Mae, and look forward to watching their progression throughout the season. We are excited to be supported by an impressive list of equipment and technical partners, which includes SRAM, Maap and Specialized.”
