A spectator at the Forest of Arenberg has posted a video showing Elia Viviani of Team Sky being hit by a motorbike following a big spill at Paris-Roubaix.
Guy W (@r8uge) posted the video on Twitter with the message “I’ve just filmed this shocking incident of the motorbike rider careering in Viviani at #ParisRoubaix @TeamSky”
Viviani was towards the back of the peloton as the group entered the Arenberg Forest when the crash took place. The Italian rider was slowing down when he was hit by the motorbike.
Thankfully though, the Team Sky rider escaped relatively unscathed as the team stated on their website afterwards: “Viviani’s race was ended by a crash in the Arenberg Forest, but happily checks revealed no fractures for the Italian after a scary incident”

Them boys were traveling at a fair pace..
we all like to see live pictures, but on narrow roads such as these it’s far too dangerous
#Protect the riders
Disgraceful
Bad driving
trek rider at end hits the nail on the head
Love the Trek-Segafredo rider: “Hey asshole, why’d you stay so close?” Please tell me that was Popo.
WTF! Why can’t he stop in time? So many of the riders had to problem stopping.
Emergency stop on a cobblestone road is almost impossible task for everything on two wheels.
Especially for the motorcycle, no Abs lock up the brake is 100 % falling, and abs is not hard braking.
