Nacer Bouhanni has been penalised 1 minute in GC standings and received a fine of 200 Swiss francs after clashing with Jack Bauer (Quick Step Floors) during stage 10 of the Tour de France.

In overhead footage of the incident which was shared on Twitter, Bauer could be seen putting an arm up to Bouhanni after the French sprinter moved in front of him with about seven kilometres remaining of today’s stage from Périgueux to Bergerac.

The Cofidis rider then lashed out at the Kiwi, appearing to strike him. The two then seemed to exchange some words.

Bouhanni went on to finish sixth in the final sprint which was won by Bauer’s team-mate Marcel Kittel. Despite receiving the fine and time penalty, Bouhanni was not relegated from sixth.

  1. They have has always been biased toward the French in situations like this. There will never be another Fignon or Hinault no matter how much they coddle the rest. This race is joke.
