The first stage of the Vuelta a Andalucia today was marred by some big crashes, including a massive bunch spill towards the end of the stage.
Jeremy Roy (FDJ.fr) has posted onboard footage of a couple of crashes from the stage. The Frenchman recently posted footage he filmed at the Tour Down Under of some near misses, and once again, he managed to avoid falling today. Others weren’t so lucky however. Amongst those hurt were Frank Schleck, Wilco Kelderman and Bauke Mollema.
Pim Ligthart (Lotto-Soudal) won the stage two seconds ahead of Fabio Silvestre (Trek Factory Racing) and Grega Bole (CCC Sprandi Polkowice).
