In a show of support for cyclo-cross in Ireland, the Cycling Ireland Off-road Commission have requested expressions of interest from Junior and Espoir (U23) riders to take part in the forthcoming European Championships.

In the statement from Cycling Ireland, they have said that: “Riders should have a current 2016 licence with UCI code “IRL”, an up-to-date passport and be available to travel Thursday 27 October returning on Monday 31 October 2016.

The 2016 UEC Cyclo-Cross European Championships take place at Pont Chateau in France on the 29th and 30th of October. The Championships will have Junior, U23 and Elite races for both men and women on the Circuit de Coet Roz.

Riders should send their Cycling CV to secretary@offroadcyclingireland.ie

In the CV there should be: Name, home address, email address, telephone number, emergency contact name and number, date of birth, licence number, and recent results in the order of:- cyclo-cross, other off-road disciplines, other cycling disciplines.

Deadline for expression of interest will be midnight on Wednesday 12 October 2016.
