Forbes have published the 2015 World Billionaires List, and 138 were missing from last year’s list of the wealthiest people on the planet. It was bad news in particular for Russia’s rich, as 28 slipped down. Amongst the casualties was the owner of the Tinkoff Saxo team, Oleg Tinkov.
According to Forbes, Tinkov’s credit card company, Tinkov Credit Systems, dropped more than 85% since its late 2013 IPO as more Russians defaulted on payments. He has lost $930 million in the past year.
Tinkov bought Team Saxo Tinkoff from Bjarne Riis for €6m back in 2013.
