The Astana team have posted a video on their Facebook purporting to show the newcomers to the team for the 2018 season getting ‘Astana’ tattoos.
In the post, they state: “Following our new tradition, all newcomers led by Truls Korsaeth decided to do a special “ASTANA” tattoo. Yes, it’s painful, but “you must respect the rules”! Welcome, guys!”
The new riders joining the team are Magnus Cort Nielsen, Davide Villela, Hugo Houle, Omar Fraile, Jan Hirt and Yevgeniy Gidich and the video shows these riders looking nervous as they supposedly get tattoos on various parts of their bodies.
