Brazilian rider Evandro Portela has set a new world record in recent weeks for the highest speed on a bicycle on a public road.

Portela became the first rider to cycle faster than 200 kilometres per hour when he reached the speed of 202 KPH on the road from Curitiba to São José dos Pinhais in Brazil, beating his previous record of 184 KPH which he set earlier this year.

Back in 2014, a video featuring Portela went viral as he was filmed reaching a speed of 124 KPH, as he drafted behind a truck in Brazil.
