Orica-GreenEdge’s Caleb Ewan took his second stage of the Santos Tour Down Under today in a sprint finish, and a video posted on cyclingtips.com shows how incredibly low over his bars that the Aussie manages to get when sprinting.
Ewan, nicknamed ‘The Pocket Rocket’ took his eighth win of the season today when he outsprinted Mark Renshaw (Dimension Data) with Giacomo Nizzoli (Trek Segafredo) taking third.
The video shows the 21 year-old in slow motion and his incredible low profile position can be seen which is reminiscent of the style of Mark Cavendish. His performances in the opening weeks of the season suggest that the likes of Cavendish and Andre Greipel will have another great sprinter to watch out for this season.

Watch out Cav.
Cav is no longer the power he used to be. Cav has clear air (and other opponents) 🙂
Barry Roden believing is winning..
This is not good, though.. bad habits forming? I hope he is looking up… seems he is staring at the road. remember Abdujaparov hitting that gendarme? I hope he stays safe.
