Belgian cyclist Oliver Naesen (IAM Cycling) somersaulted over his handlebars on today’s eighteenth stage of the Tour de France but emerged unscathed.

Naesen appeared to go into the final corner a little too fast in the 17-kilometre time-trial to Megeve and went straight into the barriers, flipping over them with his bike.

Luckily enough, it was a low-speed collision and the Belgian rider brushed off the incident afterwards. In response to a tweet from his team-mate Larry Warbasse, he dismissed his injuries, saying: “Tis but a scratch!”
