Here is an interesting video showing the production of steel frames from the worlds leading manufactur of hand brazed frames. Based in Taiwan, Maxway Cycles build frames for some of the leading suppliers of steel bikes in the world including Jamis, DMR, Ritchey, Surly, Salsa, Dawes, Greenspeed, Rans and VooDoo. Founded in 1987 and originally skateboard manufacturers they saw an opportunity in the market to use their welding skills to produce bicycle frames. As well manufacturing for others they have their own range which is huge that includes a wide range of steel road, track, city frames and even a mountain bike frame with an internal gearboxes.
