Milan-San Remo route profile and startlist

The first monument of the season, Milan-San Remo is on today, and the riders face a massive 293 kilometre journey. It’s seen as quite an open race, with numerous previous winners starting.

Amongst those tipped for the win are last year’s winner Alexander Kristof (Team Katusha), Peter Sagan (Tinkoff-Saxo), World Champion Michal Kwiatkowski (Etixx Quick Step) and his team mate Mark Cavendish, Fabian Cancellara (Trek Factory Racing), and BMC Racing Team riders Philippe Gilbert and Greg van Avermaet.

The real action in the race can be expected to start in the last one third of the race when they reach the series of climbs on the coast, starting with Capo Mele.
