Mark Cavendish (Etixx Quick Step) has won his first race of the season, as he sprinted to victory on the final stage of the Tour de San Luis.

After coming close to victory earlier in the week, Cavendish finally got the win. He won the sprint ahead of Fernando Gaviria (Colombian National Team), a two-time stage winner this week, and Jakub Mareczeko (Italy).

The Argentinean Dani Diaz(Funvic-Sao Jose dos Campos) hung on to win the race overall, 1’05” ahead of Colombian Rodolfo Torres (Colombia) with Nairo Quintana (Movistar) finishing in third.
