According to Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, the designers of the jersey for the new Lotto.nl – Jumbo team will have to go back to the drawing board. It seems that the UCI have deemed their jersey to be too yellow, and would therefore clash with the leader’s jersey in many stage races, including the Tour de France.
In previous years, other teams with predominantly yellow jerseys have had to change their colours for the French race, including the Kas and Once teams. It will have to be seen whether the team will need a complete redesign or just amend their current jersey.
