The Katusha team somehow managed to get lost during a reconnaissance ride in preparation for the opening stage of the Vuelta a España in Galicia, after getting separated from their team car.

The riders ended up riding off-road for a time in a bid to get back on the correct route and had to ask a man walking his dogs for help. They later tweeted a video with the message: “When riders lose their team director’s car, it’s time for some #cyclocross. #LV2016 #TeamKATUSHA @egsilin”

The Vuelta starts today with a 27.8-kilometre team time-trial from Balneario Laias to Parque Náutico de Castrelo de Miño.
