A cyclist in the UK has uploaded footage to YouTube of a motorist performing a close pass on him during his commute. After catching up with the motorist, the cyclist then notices that he is using three mobile phones whilst driving.

The driver can be seen with a mobile phone in each hand and one on his lap. In addition, he was also driving in a bus lane and the vehicle was untaxed.

The video was uploaded by YouTube user Silvio Diego who has said that he won’t be reporting the incident to the police due to the high number of similar incidents of drivers using phones, which he encounters.

Mr. Diego commented as follows:

“Untaxed vehicle, MGIF, Close Pass, Speeding, dangerous driving around Cyclists, all of this while using 3 MOBILE PHONES!!! During my commute I see many drivers on their mobile phones, but this guy really takes the Mickey, 3 devices!!! One in each hand + one on his lap, possibly listening to music. To top that up he drivers dangerously around cyclists while using a bus lane which he’s not allowed.”

“Because one in 3 drivers are on their phone I do not bother reporting it anymore, unless of course is accompanied by poor driving, which in this case is atrocious!”

When asked by one commenter as to why he was not reporting the incident to the police, Mr. Diego responded: “What makes you think that the police has any interest in car drivers breaking the law? As far as I know there only concerned with cyclists jumping the lights.”
