La Flèche Wallonne took place today and both the men’s and women’s races included multiple ascents of the iconic Mur de Huy.
The 1300m-long climb has been included in the race since 1983 and it averages 9.6% but ramps up to 26% in some sections.
It wasn’t only the cyclists who struggled up the slopes today though, as a video posted on Twitter shows a limousine driver needing a helping hand to get up the climb.
The limo was part of the publicity caravan and got into trouble near the steepest part of the climb at the S-bends. Fortunately for the driver though, a number of spectators came to his assistance and got him moving again.
