There’s no commentary unfortunately, but here are the last few kilometres of the UCI 1.1 Handzame Classic in Belgium yesterday.

The 198 kilometre race from Bredene to Handzame featured a number of climbs including the Vidaigneberg, Monteberg, Kemmelberg and Scherpenberg.

An early breakaway including Alex Kirsch (Cult Energy), Conor Dunne (An Post-Chain Reaction), Tom Wirtgen (Leopard Development Team) and Dries Hollanders (Metec) had been brought back, and the race was set up for a bunch sprint.

The sprint was won by the Belgian Gianni Meersman (Etixx-Quick-Step) ahead of Antoine Demoitie (Wallonie-Bruxelles) and Tiesj Benoot (Lotto-Soudal).
