The 2018 UCI Road World Championships start in Innsbruck-Tirol tomorrow with the Men’s and Women’s team time-trial events, contested by trade teams.

The Women’s event kicks off in Ötztal with the first team to start at 10.10 local time and the last team finishing at 12.05 in Innsbruck, Rennweg. The riders will cover a distance of 54.5km. Amongst the favourites are defending champions Team Sunweb, Boels Dolmans Cyclingteam, Canyon // SRAM Racing, Wiggle High5 and Mitchelton-Scott.

The first team off in the men’s race start at 14.40 with the last team finishing at 17.05 with the race distance of 62.8km. Defending champions are Team Sunweb and amongst the other teams expected to be in contention are BMC Racing Team, Mitchelton – Scott, Team Lotto NL – Jumbo, Quick-Step Floors and Team Sky.
