The riders faced 144 kilometres today on the stage from Glenelg to Mount Barker.
Today’s stage headed south of Adelaide along the coast, before turning inland and heading back north to the finish.
After winning yesterday’s stage, Rohan Dennis (BMC Racing Team) held a small lead over his teammate Cadel Evans, with Tom Dumoulin (Team Giant-Alpecin) in third.
