For some reason, possibly slow news days, the media have jumped on the bandwagon highlighting the raging war on our roads between cyclists and motorists. Granted there are issues and most can be put down to very bad infrastructure but the constant berating cyclists are getting is doing nothing to help the situation. A one sided portrayal of bold cyclists breaking red lights does nothing but fuel the angry motorist which in turn gives the media more fuel for the fire.
Charlie Pickering of The Weekly, an Australian satirical television news programme did a piece on the epic battle and came up with a great idea to ease the tension.
