UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has confirmed that cyclist Jason White has been suspended from all sport for two years following an anti-doping rule violation.

Mr White is banned after refusing to provide a sample on 28 September 2014 at the Richardsons-Trek Road Team Road Race. The rider is banned from all competition from 12 November 2014 to 11 November 2016.

UKAD Director of Legal Graham Arthur said: “To fail to comply with sample collection is a serious violation of the anti-doping rules. Testing remains integral to our work and the consequences of failing to provide a sample warrant sufficiently stiff penalties.

“When anti-doping authorities request a sample, athletes need to do everything they can to cooperate. Now, under the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code, refusal or failure to comply with the anti-doping process will result in a four-year ban.”
