Traingate is probably the wrong name as there was no gate but it’s happened again with riders crossing a level crossing during a race when the barriers coming down. It happened at the weekend during the U23 Liege-Bastogne-Liege.

As can be seen in the video below, a number of riders crossed the train line while the lights were red, and the barriers were about to come down. The bunch behind this group stopped at the barrier.

It follows on from recent similar incidents at Paris-Roubaix and the U23 Tour of Flanders, and once again, there were no repercussions for those who went through the red light.
