The Tour of Flanders cyclosportive has sold 4,000 entries in just 24 hours. Entries for the sportive which takes place the day before the actual race opened on the 1st of November.

Entries are limited to 16,000 for the sportive, which takes place on Saturday April the 2nd. Entries were not always limited but due to the popularity of the event, the organisers had to introduce this system last year.

There are three different options for the Sportive – 254km (2100 metres of climbing), 134km (1600 metres of climbing) and 75km (930 metres of climbing). The 254km course starts in Bruges’ city square, with the shorter distances of 134kms and 71kms, starting and finishing in Oudenaarde.

All three routes will take in various cobbled climbs made famous by the race. Amongst the climbs will be the Molenberg, Koppenberg, Taaienberg, Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg.
