The Tour de Yorkshire finished today with Serge Pauwels (Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka) winning the final stage and the race overall. His team-mate Omar Fraile took second with Jonathan Hivert (Direct Énergie) rounding out the podium.

Australian Caleb Ewan (Orica-Scott) won the Yorkshire Bank Points Classification, Dutchman Pieter Weening (Roompot–Nederlandse Loterij) sealed the Virgin Trains King of the Mountain prize, and Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka won the Doncaster Sheffield Airport and FlyBe Team Classification.

Massive crowds turned out for the three days of the race, with the numbers on the roadside today being particularly impressive. According to the organisers, today’s crowds was the biggest figure on a single day of racing since the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ.

  1. Dimension Data’s team riding was outstanding! Especially on the part of Omar Fraile. Watch the last ten km on ITV with David Millar, he gives you the best blow by blow I have ever heard. Fantastic bit of racing all around!
