A taxi driver in Toronto has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and assault with a weapon according to Torontoist. Ali Farkhondehfall, 57, was arrested after a video went viral which showed him crashing into a cyclist.

In the video, the cyclist can be seen tapping on the window of the taxi before the taxi swerves to the right, pushing the cyclist into the kerb with the man then crashing to the ground.

The video of the incident, which took place earlier this month, gained more than three million views on the YouTube channel of well-known vlogger Roman Atwood, who was filming his vlog in the Canadian city when the encounter took place.

A witness goes to the cyclist’s aid and asks if he’s OK. The cyclist appears to be relatively unhurt though and can be heard telling the driver: “You’re going to jail. That is assault.”

Toronto Police used the video to call on witnesses to aid the investigation. According to the police report, Farkhondehfall and the cyclist were involved in a physical altercation before the collision occurred. Farkhondehfall will appear in court on October 4.

  1. Proper order, these clowns need to understand that a car is a deadly weapon and if they can’t act responsibly when using one then they have to pay the consequences.
