The CCTV footage of the incident shows three year old Lucie Wilding following her Mum Lauren out of their house on the morning school run. As the toddler goes out the gate she is hit by a cyclist using the pavement and then gets dragged along by the bike. It wasn’t until the cyclist fell off that the child came to a halt. According to Mum Lauren Howarth the cyclist then got up and shouting abuse at them before leaving the scene.
That’s why we don’t cycle on foot paths.
That cyclist should not have been riding on the sidewalk.
