An Post-Chain Reaction have named their team for the forthcoming OVO Energy Tour of Britain (2.HC) and three Irish riders have been included in the line-up – Sean McKenna, Damien Shaw and Matthew Teggart. They will be joined by Jake Scott, Regan Gough and Mark Stewart in the six-man team for the race which starts this Sunday.

Scott has been in impressive form of late, finishing 12th in Schaal Sels (UCI 1.1) last weekend and 5th in Antwerpse Havenpijl (1.2) earlier this month. Both Stewart and Teggart completed the Tour de l’Avenir recently against the best U23 riders in the World with Teggart leading the King of the Mountains classification for much of the race.

The An Post team have impressed over the years at the race, taking stage wins in 2011 with Gediminas Bagdonas and the following year with Sam Bennett. Another highlight for the team was Mark McNally winning the King of the Mountains classification at the 2014 edition of the race.

The eight-day race starts on 3 September in Edinburgh and finishes on 10 September in Cardiff. The line-up features a mix of UCI Continental teams, Pro Continental teams, WorldTour teams including Team Sky, Movistar and Quick Step Floors. The Great Britain team will be the only national team taking part.
