New signing for the An Post – Chain Reaction team, Jens Vandenbogaerde, has spoken to cyclingsite.be about his move to the Irish team, and his hopes for next season.

The Belgian is particularly strong against the clock, winning the Belgian U23 time trial championship last year, and hopes for more good performances in time trials this year.

He spoke about his preparation has gone so far, saying “In December we spent 8 days with the team and the training went very well. The professionalism of the team provides a mental boost! I also hope to avoid illness and injuries so that the good training work is not lost.”

He was asked about his hopes for 2015, and replied, “With my move to An Post – Chain Reaction, I will definitely be getting my chance. I won’t get too confident, but I will do everything to compete from race day one. February 1 is early but if all goes well I’ll be okay. My main aim is to put in a good performance in the prologue of the 3 days of West Flanders.”

I have a very good opportunity with An Post-Chainrection and will try to grab it with both hands.
