“Imagine if we could invent something that cut road and rail crowding, cut noise, cut pollution and ill health – something that improved life for everyone, quite quickly, without the cost and disruption of new roads and railways. Well, we invented it 200 years ago: the bicycle.”

A staggering 24% of all vehicles in London’s morning rush hour traffic are bicycles and on certain routes this number jumps up to 66%.

With this explosion of biking as a mode of transport the Mayors Vision plans to invest just under 1 Billion pounds in improving the cycling network, both in the city of London and also in the surrounding boroughs.
