Garmin have unveiled a new device – the Varia™ Rearview Bike Radar & Lights – which warns cyclists of vehicles approaching from behind up to 140 meters (150 yards) and also warns approaching traffic of a cyclist ahead. Vehicles approaching from the rear is the number one cause of bike/vehicle fatalities in the U.S.*

Works independently or wirelessly integrates seamlessly with several Garmin Edge cycling computer models. Indicates the relative speed of approach and distance of one or more vehicles at a time.

The tail light brightens and blinks when approaching vehicles are detected for an extra measure of safety. The first of its kind, Varia Rearview Radar can help to create a safer riding environment for all types of cycling conditions.
