The CervĂ©lo Belgian Waffle Ride presented by SPY which took place recently in San Diego, California is dubbed the “Most Unique Cycling Event in the U.S.”

The ride which takes place in North County San Diego is a mix of single track climbs, sandy trails, and roughly paved roads and the longer route includes over 3,300 metres of climbing over 230 kilometres.

The ride is limited to 700 riders for the longer course and 500 for the shorter version. Joshua Berry was first across the line in a time of 7 hours and 22 minutes, with second-placed rider Scott Lundy finishing 20 minutes after.

Amanda Nauman won the women’s race ahead of Rhonda Quick and Jill Cederholm. Below is some drone footage from the recent ride.
