Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka has been shortlisted for the Beyond Sport Global Awards 2019 in the Best Corporate Campaign or Initiative in Sport for Good category, for their work with Qhubeka Charity.

Together with their partners, supporters, riders and staff they have funded over 27,000 bikes to Qhubeka. The funds raised by the #BicyclesChangeLives campaign are channelled into Qhubeka’s scholar mobility and mechanic training programmes. This initiative helps children to get to school and sports activities more easily, and mechanics to access economic opportunities.

In its 11th year as the pinnacle of purpose-driven sports awards, this year’s shortlist for the Beyond Sport Global Awards represents 37 countries, across six continents and more than 40 sports, all dedicated to creating positive social impact in communities around the world, through sport, to help achieve the UN Global Goals by 2030.

The award ceremony will take place on September 12 at the purpose-focused SAP Next-Gen Lab in New York.

Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka Principal Doug Ryder – “It is a real honour to be shortlisted in the Best Corporate Campaign or Initiative in Sport for Good category and to be recognised for the work that we do with Qhubeka Charity. Our team has always been about changing lives and making a difference, and it remains central to our team’s purpose. For us, it is about making an impact and using our team, our sport and its success to do good.”
