The Movistar Team confirmed today that French rider Roxane Fournier has signed a contract for the 2019 season with the squad.
The 26 year-old has spent the five seasons with the FDJ / Futuroscope team and has taken twenty career victories. Amongst her biggest wins are two stages of the Route de France (2016), the GP Dottignies (2015) as well as stage victories in the Tour de l’Ardèche (2015), the Trophée d’Or (2014) and the Tour of Chongming Island (2015).
Her 2018 season was overshadowed by injuries sustained from crashes at the Ronde van Vlaanderen in April and the RideLondon Classic in July.
The Frenchwoman still fared well at the early-season classics including 8th at the Ronde van Drenthe), 2nd, 3rd and 4th on stages of the Lotto Thüringen Ladies Tour in Germany, 5th in the French Road Race Championships and 6th in a stage of the Giro Rosa.
