Things got a little heated at Flandriencross in Belgium today after two riders got tangled during the race.

Jens Adams (Crelan-VastgoedService) and Vincent Baestaens (Beobank – Corendon) initially clashed when Adams came off his bike and ended up blocking Bastaens.

Adams tried to remount a few metres afterwards and fell again, taking Bastaens down with him.

Baestaens was then captured on TV footage pushing Adams to the ground. Adams then had words with Bastaens, before receiving another push from the Beobank rider, this time into the barriers.

The race was won by Mathieu van der Poel (Ned), ahead of Wout Van Aert (Bel) and Laurens Sweeck (Bel).
