Registration and entry is now open for the 2016 Irish National Criterium Championships via the Cycling Ireland event registration page on www.cyclingireland.ie. A direct link to the registration page can be found here.

The Championships, promoted by Banbridge Cycling Club, will take place in Banbridge town centre on the evening of Friday 12th August. The Championship race will commence at 19:45 sharp, lasting approximately 1 hour, over a 1-kilometre circuit with intermediate prime laps.

The circuit will be the one which has been successfully used in previous years for the Banbridge Crit, starting and finishing in the town centre on Newry St. A map and further details of the circuit can be found here.

A Women’s support race will also be promoted on the same closed 1-kilometre circuit. The race is due to last just over 30 minutes with intermediate prime laps, starting at 19:00.

The Championship race is open to male A+, A1, A2 & A3 riders and a generous cash prize fund has also been secured for both races.

Registration for the Championship race will close on Friday 5th August. Entries will not be accepted on the day.

Pre-entry to the women’s race will be available on the CI Women’s Commission website, here, with payment and entry welcomed on the day. An entry fee of £10 will apply.

Race HQ for the event is Banbridge Rugby Club. A full and detailed race manual will be made available on www.banbridgecc.co.uk in the coming days.
