A video has been uploaded to YouTube this week showing a cyclist in Barcelona drafting a bus at 70 kilometres per hour.
The man can be seen just inches from the bumper of the bus as it travels along the Ronda Litoral road and into a tunnel. A spokesperson for the local bus drivers’ association described the cyclist’s actions as being “incredibly stupid.”
A following motorist captures the cyclist on camera and then turns the recorder to his own speedometer which shows his speed at 70kmph.
It’s now believed that police in Barcelona want to question the cyclist. Despite not breaking the speed limit, it seems he did break the law as cyclists along with mopeds and pedestrians are not allowed to travel through the tunnel.
BMC is probably looking for him too!
