It has to be said that Peter Sagan is making a big impact on this year’s Tour de France. The green jersey wearer has been on the attack on numerous stages, and has come second in a remarkable five stages.

His most recent second-placed finish was at Gap, and at the end of that sixteenth stage, Sagan was seen crossing the line thumping his chest, prompting one interviewer to ask about the meaning of the gesture.

“I’m doing this (thumps chest) to take energy,” the Slovakian champion responds. He then starts thumping his chest with the chant used by the character Mark Hanna in the hit movie The Wolf of Wall Street.

Sagan then asks the interviewer. “You know that? It’s from The Wolf of Wall Street.”
