Peter Hawkins who is racing for CT Tomacc in Belgium this season, claimed a 3rd place in a recent kermesse in Haringe. Hawkins managed to make it into the winning break of six riders, which also included ex-professional Steven Caethoven.

At the end of the 111-kilometre race, Hawkins finished 3rd in the sprint for the line as 19 year-old Brent Luyckx of the Leopard Development Team took the win. The next group home was led in by another Ulsterman, Cormac Clarke, who is racing with Illi Bikes.

Clarke’s team mate, Thomas Fallon, finished in 37th place whilst Hawkins’ team mate Marc Potts finished in 60th place.
