Orica-GreenEDGE’s latest Backstage Pass is a little bit different to their usual offering. Due to the Giro organisers not allowing the Australian team to use any race footage, they’ve come up with a different way to recreate highlights from the day’s racing.
Their highlights package has commentary from Luka Mezgec, Sam Bewley and Michael Hepburn and they use a variety of kid’s toys and a play mat to recreate the stage.
A plastic shark is used to represent Vincenzo Nibali and a gorilla is used for Andre Greipel. Various other toys are used to represent other riders and spectators, and they even use tins of tuna to make a roundabout.
this was great. The giro organizers are stupid and part of a bigger issue. They think control will stop the people. Dumb
