It was a hot day on the Tour de France today in the Pyrenees with the riders facing four categorised climbs along the way.

Team Sky’s Chris Froome rode a blistering descent to the finish line in Bagnères-de-Luchon to take the yellow jersey after the punishing mountain stage.

Froome’s nearest rivals finished thirteen seconds behind with Dan Martin (Etixx-Quick Step) leading the chase group home.

There was finally a withdrawal from the race today as Michael Morkov (Katusha) pulled out having battled to overcome the injuries he suffered in a crash on the opening stage.

Here are some onboard highlights from the stage which includes footage of new lanterne rouge Sam Bennett (Bora-Argon 18) popping a wheelie on the Col du Tourmalet.
